About me: World2media is located near Frankfurt and house 10 audio studios and counts over 100 international music producers to its extended circles of freelancers. Doug Laurent, owner and master mind of world2media, began his career as a DJ and music producer back in 1986. As an international musician has appeared on over 400 releases of singles and remix productions for e.g. Alphaville, Culure Beat, Front242, Gloria Gaynor, La Bouche, Panjabi MC, Sash, Snap and Yello. Since the early nineties, Doug regularly created, as Frank Farian’s house producer, new versions of all the successful Boney M songs ( most recently for “Wetten, Dass”. As a DJ he has released Mix-CD’s for various labels and his sound sampling CD is used by almost all the top stars in the international dance scene. Since 2004, Doug Laurent runs and A&Rs at the successful international dance download label, with top chart positions in England, Japan and the USA. Besides many industrial productions, he developed under world2media the German soccer national eleven CD-Rom series, that REWE distributed 28 million copies of during the World Cup in 2006.
